Mystery Kaydet at PSAM

Fri Feb 25, 2005 1:34 pm

I was tricked! I was expecting to see only two Kaydets at the PSAM earlier this month, but there was actually three.

I first photographed these two...

I then forgot that I had actually photographed two, and when I saw the third I thought it was the 2nd one, and didn't pay much attention since I figured I already had it noted. Here is a picture of it...

The problem is that I have nothing that indicates the true s/n, c/n or c/r of this airframe. It does have the markings "289" on the nose, but nothing else is in the picture to go on.

Does anyone know the ID of this airframe?

Mike

Maybe it is:

N81235 75-7990 BOEING B75N1 POND WARBIRDS LLC

That registration shows the aircraft to have a Continental W670, which the aircraft pictured does indeed have.

N9955H also has a Continental (as noted in the registration), while N5359N has a Lycoming (although the engine type is not noted in the registration).

Check out the last picture in the link. I think that will help you out.

N2S3 N81235 (NOT N81275)

Mike,

This aircraft definately is N81235. It has "N2S3" painted on the vertical fin ahead of the rudder.
