Which US state has the highest number of airworthy warbirds ?

Cozmo, I was working off of the top of my head. I thought Tulio got Ft Worth, and I completely forgot about Lancaster. Why don't you add the places you know that we missed ! This could be fun ! I couldn't remember the official town that Alliance is in, though I know R Perot Jr. has his F-5 up there.

Lancaster has the highest concentration of flying or soon to by flying warbirds in the DFW area. I'm surprised that it got forgotten.

I count between 28 and 30 airworthy or nearly airworthy warbirds between the 2 museums and private owners on the field.

Peter, I think there are more warbirds in Texas alone than in all of England. I think North Texas would be very close to being the Warbird Capital on its own with no less than 8 museums (4 or 5 of them flying museums) in the D/FW area alone, not to mention dozens that are privately owned and flown.
