For those of you interested, tomorrow night (3-1-05) on the show
Evening Magazine (on CBS) here in Northern CA, is supposed to be a segment on the crash of the British Commonwealth Pacific Airlines' DC-6 "Resolution" in Woodside CA. The crash occured in 1953, and today is one of several popular places to visit in the SF Bay Area for crashes. I've been to this site several times, and there are still a lot of remains on the hillside.
On it's way from Sydney Australia to Vancouver British Columbia, the plane came in too low for SFO and impacted Kings Mountain, and was scattered down the side of the hill, killing all on board. To read more on this, visit Nick Veronico's Wreck Chasing site at:
