Here is photo update of the progress here. First is the center section in the paint booth back in May.

The flap tourque (did I spell that right??) tube and gear box installed

In this photo, you will notice the selector valve sits atop a pedastal which sits on top of the original factory mount. This is the AD which says you must raise the outlet port of the valve so that it is higher then the inlet of the hand pump to prevent a water trap at the valve, while in the 3 point attitude. This was a concern when they all sat outside in the weather back in the 40's.

Now for the "marriage" of fuselage and center wing. That is my Dad there in his old fashion pose. He'll be 83 this week. Still flies and works 8 hrs a day (easy work).

Home made spreader bar.

Now from this...

At this point we stopped so I could get the photo. Both pieces are a few inches from driving the bolts home. The Go-Jacks make it real easy. We have a leg on each end of the rear spar with a castor.

This will happen this coming week.

Notice the Becker control heads in the panel. As some of you know there isn't much space for modern radios. BTW the red does not look so rosy when you see it first hand
Image

The encoder is mounted on the floor runner and the transponder remote is mounted under the map case box
Image

This is the comm remote. The harness goes through the dynamotor junction box and through conduit up to the original main radio junction box.

Wow, that's absolutely gorgeous, Mark! What an awesome restoration. That has to be one of finest BT restorations I've ever seen, just superb!

Are you going to enter her in any contests, perhaps Oshkosh or Sun-N-Fun?

You should, that thing is pristine!

Thanks for taking the time to post those, keep us updated! :D
