Movie? Yup, a movie...

Mon Mar 07, 2005 4:03 am

I think I'm going to make an airplane movie. I talked to my buds and we all decided that would be cool. We shot some film on saturday going up to Auburn, AUN. This is some of the footage jumbled together, kinda out of order, I just wanted to get it up here. For my friends and family who don't understand why I'm so single minded about warbirds and flying, I hope this helps.

I'd like to thank Dan Dugan, Ron Rich, and my brother Dave.

This is a 38meg file that my brother is graciously hosting. Please right click and "Save Target As".

P.S. If you're in the bay area and want your airplane in the movie, please send me a pm here, and we'll try to link up.

Thanks,
Orvis

Just wondering what anyone thought of the clip. I know it's kinda big, but it is T28's doing the baa baa blacksheep thing. I realized I hadn't said that before.

Excellent video!

What was the noise right at the end? The gear coming down?

Thank you Sir!

It was probably the gear. In the rest of the video from the other plane the gear is coming down at that time. I've rode in that plane, Ron Rich's, and I don't remember hearing that before. I might have forgot, but it wouldn't surprise me that the only thing able to hear it in there is the camera mic. I had a handheld radio in the other plane with the volume turned up to the max hoping to get some radio traffic through the cameras external mic, nothing came through at all. Time to get another camera, one with a mic jack.

Thanks again.

I looked at my brothers logs and it looks like it got downloaded quite a few times. We were just talking and the next step is to actually edit it , and edit it down into a four minute trailer for now, and do some more flying with more warbirds, maybe even try out some acting.

Stay tuned!

Thanks Again!

Thanks Roger!

I would say lets meet up at Moffett this year, but when I was just looking it up, it's says its cancelled. I'll be over at Moffett for the Collings birds though. Maybe we can get Ryan and Jim and those guys to let us do an air to air shot with them. I'll also be over at Half Moon Bay next month.

Thanks Again Roger!

OP/Orvis, Jack...

I'll be at the Dream Machines also, so maybe we can hook up there. I also plan to attend the TRARON/FAST event at Castle Airport, and I imagine you'll be there also?............Roger
