Selfrige ANG Base Museum Pictures

Here are some pictures I shot at the Selfrige ANG Base Museum a few weeks ago. I was very impressed with the museum. Unfortunately the only plane that is inside is a Spad replica, but they had a very good crew of volunteers giving tours and answering questions. The planes were reasonably well maintained for static displays outdoors. Kudo's to the P-3 Orion and C-130A crew members giving tours - GREAT JOB!

They do look pretty good. This is one display in the area that I haven't had the chance to see yet... looks like that needs to change. Is the B-57 painted? It looks like it's natural metal from the pic, which is always nice to see.

I also like the F-4 and F-106. I'm planning on modeling aircraft in those markings in 1/48 scale at some point over the next 50 years...

How many Beech 18 variants are displayed at the park? The Locator has three listed, but I suspect at least two of these are duplicate aiframes.

There are only two Beech 18 variants there, one SNB-5 and one C-45B according to my memory and the website.

My favorite is that B-57A. The bubble canopy is much cooler looking than the later fore-and-aft design that Martin used.
