TICO Airshow

Fri Mar 11, 2005 6:05 pm

The Titusville airshow is this weekend. B-25 "Killer Bee" and the SNJ "Texan 3" departed Kissimmee today to base there tonight for the show. Our Bell 47 helicopter also went over. The weather is supposed to be good, but just really windy. I hope it is a good turn-out of warbirds and ticket buying public as well.

As Reilly flew the B-25 of in the distance departing to Titusville, NASA launched the Delta rocket. It raced up into the sky with a big ball of flame and leaving a large contrail behind. From our perspective it looked like someone had fired a missle at the B-25. It was a very wierd sight and I wished I had my camera ready for it.

I'm planning on being out there on Sunday, from what I understand the wind should die down and it should be a pretty nice day. I'll be sure to stop by and say hello if I see you around the SNJ.

Any surprises on the flight line this year?

I have to work in Kissimmee this weekend to keep the operation running there. I will have to miss the airshow and have no idea what is scheduled to be there.
