This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Didn't see no F-14 cockpit. I saw two F-4 Phantom II cockpits, a short nose (F-4B, C, or D? - because the pod under the nose cone seems to have been eliminated from later F-4J's and F-4S's) and a long nose (F-4E?)

Yes, Show Me is looking splendid! It's an especially nice touch having the guns in the turret "articulated" since we so seldom see them in any position other than tucked safely aft. How'd that come to be, I wonder? Thanks for the post -- I lived near there for a couple years when I was a kindergarten-size kid, and will always have mighty fond memories of it.

What's the story with the T-33? It's in Air Guard markings, but they look, well, let's say like maybe the aircraft is not on active-duty status. Is it in civilian hands now possibly awaiting restoration?

T-33 will soon be going to a local "post" for outdoor static display.....John

Man, that T-6 looks great! Are you able to fly it yet or are your arms still too big from all of that polishing?

It has been there forever plus a day; it has been submerged in water, when there have been floods in the area.
The shiny T-6 / SNJ is owned by a Mr.Greg Vallero, of WIX fame

but y'all knew that already.

How is it that Tulio can get to Smartt Field for a CAF open house and to my own home base of Creve Coeur Airport anytime he wants? What's the deal? I live in St. Louis but the only way I can keep up with what's going on in the local warbird-vintage scene is to consult the WIX forums! Can somebody please check on my Stearman and see if it's still in my hangar at Creve Coeur?
Was Dan's ex-IAF C-47 at the CAF open house?

Tulio is kinda like Santa Clause, or the tooth fairy........he's everywhere!
