P-51 'Dove of Peace'

Researching the latest P-51 to arrive here in N.Z.
P-51D 44-13016 is painted as Col. Glenn Duncans mount.
Can anyone confirm if the Col. is still alive ( believe he is ) and why he named the aircraft 'Dove of Peace' ?

regards
Dave

I'm just finishing up a 1/48 scale model of his mustang, and i tried doing a little research as well. somewhere i picked this up: there's a small insignia of a skeleton firing guns flying down from the sky that is put after the 'dove of peace' name. apparently, that was his personal design, calling it "Angel of Death" that he put on his first p-47 that he had, but higher authority didn't like it. so he changed it to 'dove of peace'. hope that helps. what a beautiful plane too!

Brad, The Colonel is doing fine as far as I know, happily remarried, he has earned his happiness in these his "golden years". How are you handling your new freedom as a puberty plagued lad? Been working on your airplane? Is it in your living room?
You and your crew fly safe.
