Yeah, he showed up at VFM one weekend with that thing and all we could think of is that another nice artifact just became junk. It is nicely polished junk.

it was a smashed up piece of junk that he made into a pretty cool thing.....not every piece of aluminum is an artifact....except in the UK

I don't recall that the tank in question was too "smashed up" when he started with it. There are F-86 projects out there that could use a tank or two rather than it being turned into a polished fishie-thingy :roll: . On the other hand, if you have a pile of Sabre tanks just laying around knock yourself out. Those of us trying to restore an F-86 will find tanks somewhere........
