I Love it Jack! Keep posting these. The wing mounted bomb racks, the more Giddy I get to thinking that by years end I might have a pair for each wing!

Cool! Longer take-off run, shorter range!!! Are those 250's two per rack? What was the max they could carry internal and external combined IF they had enough runway to get off? I know I have seen a huge number for a B-17 Gross lift cap. but they hardly ever did externals on them, range dropping off rapidly as external stores were added.

Excellent!!!! I also like variations with attached external armor, I have finished few profiles for book, released this year in France.

the max external and internal bombs would be an adjustment in fuel loads. most times the underwings were used they were flying very short distances. In Northern Africa and and the Pacific they filled her up with bombs inside and out and went to bomb, with minimal fuel. I so I have read.....
