Frank Cheek, Suches Ga

Thu Oct 01, 2009 2:02 pm

Just got this:

Friends,

It is with great sadness that I report on the death of my Stepfather, Frank Cheek, who passed away this evening after a courageous battle with liver cancer. In the end Frank was surrounded by friends and family and much love. Frank was a truly unique individual who shaped my character and I am honored to have had the opportunity to share his life with each of you.

Naval Aviator and Squadron Commander, Eastern Airlines Captain, Entrepreneur and Patriarch of motorcycling in the Southeastern United States, Inventor of Jet Descent Vertical Profile Navigation, and a Designer of the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport flight approach pattern, Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Friend and Mentor mark only a few highlights of this Great Storybook Life!

A Celebration of Frank’s life is being planned at Frank’s Place, his namesake lodge at High Valley Resort in Suches, GA. Activities will include a fly-in, a motorcycle ride and fellowship with many great “Frank stories”. Details will be released in the coming weeks.

Character is defined by the positive impact you have on others and the difference you make in this life.

Well done Faithful Servant! Well done!
Regards,
Louis Herrera

Sorry to hear about the passing of Frank Cheek. The name is familiar to me, we must have crossed paths along the way somewhere.
