Original bases?

Looking at then and now photos of some WW2 era bases me wondering if any WW2 era bases were kept in thier original configuration by the military arms into the 1960s/70s or later. The base I work on was completely redone with only two of the original runways remaining and those were rebuilt for heavier planes. Some wartime features remained like some parking spots and until a few years ago the gun harmonizing revetment and the third runway was turned into a parking ramp but most everything else was destroyed or literally moved from its original site to another. Are there any WW2 era bases still in use by the military that are substantially unchanged in layout of runways, taxiways and ramps?

Maxwell Air Force Base. I was there visiting, and you can still see the original hangers. Also could still see some turnbuckles and other hardware lying around on the ground in areas near the flightline.

MacDill is much the same. The hangars you see in the movie Strategic Air Command, still there and in use. True they have added a lot around the periphery, but along the flight line a lot of it is very historic looking.

Off the cuff...

RAAF Point Cook, Victoria, Australia, has many of the W.W.I buildings in original or similar locations, most of the W.W.II buildings and inter war (and post war). You can clearly, easily trace the history of each 'overlay' of the buildings. The field layout and W.W.II runway layout remain, but with modern facilities.

RAF Bicester, Oxfordshire, UK, has the 1930s expansion period airfield, all over grass field and 1930s building remarkably original, many in use although kept 'as were', although one area of the base is semi derelict. Essentially as was in the 1930s.

I'm thinking that a lot of Randolph AFB is still pretty similar.
