pics from airshow last weekend in Omaka NZ

Gidday peoples.

I attended the Classic Fighters airshow yester day here on Omaka, Blenheim, New Zealand.
Mainly deals with WW1 aircraft but has all sorts of others too.

Excellent show, apart from the dull weather.

I hope you enjoy my amateur effort..

The rotary powered (thats cylinders spinning, not W*nkel-like ;)) Sopwith Camel...

...and the AWESOME Thunder Mustang, the 75% scale V-12 powered one. When I get in from work I'll post a few more pics. I took a heap of this baby !!!!

Capt. Turbo, well done, did the new P-51 Dove of Peace fly??

Cheers,

Lynn

Dove of Peace didn't come up from Wanaka, some mech. problem I believe.
Rob, the ex 'Blue Max' Pfalz flew. I will send a few pics if you want to put them up for me.

Heya all,

Thanks for the compliments :)

Lynn,
The P-51D that did fly was painted as "Dooleybird". I didn't get many shots of it unfort but I did get some static of the weenie 'Stang next to the genuine article ;)
Shall post when I get home

Col Rohr, Sir,
I got a heap of ground shots of the DR.1s and the also the Pfalz and Halberstadt. I also shall post some of these.

Cheers

Here are a few more photos.

I have tried to set the resolution and file size at a point where there is enough detail, but they are not worth stealing. Hopefully they aren't too much of a strain on anybodies bandwidth.

Let me know if they are still too large.

I don't intend posting many more from Omaka, as I still haven't sorted through my photos from Avalon yet. Let me know if there is a particular aircraft you would like to see, and I'll see if I have a reasonable photo of it.

OK, here are a couple of Graham Bethell's P-51 in a new (temporary?) scheme.
