The Douglas F3D Skyknight originated in the post-WW2 years as a carrier-based night fighter and saw action in Korea. Here is the Wikipedia page with some good information:

The F-10 designation came about when the US armed services standardized their aircraft designation systems. The EF-10 was an electronic countermeasures variant.

IIRC, it burned AvGas, too. Did any ever get switched to Jet Fuel?

Raytheon operated three F3Ds (F-10s) for the US Army. Those airplanes flew well into the 80's.
