In the May 2005 issue of the Smithsonian's Air & Space Magazine there is a very fine article about all the activity taking place at the Anoka County Airport in Minnesota. There are many projects taking place there from the restoration of a P-82 Twin Mustang, to the restoration of a 1911 Steco Aerohydroplane to whatever Greg Herrick is currently working on from his outstanding collection. Also mentioned prominently is Mike Rawson's continuing work on the Curtiss A-25 Helldiver destined for the USAF Museum when complete. There is even a picture of Mike with the Helldiver. Congradulations Mike!

I'll have to pick up a copy. Were there any photos of the P-82? The latest photos I have seen of the project are from before C&P aquired the airplane.

It is a good article! Neat, too. There's a bit of the P-82 apparently visible behind the guy working on it, but it's not terribly clear.

Hi Mike,

I've got a pair of prop blades from an AT-5 Tri Motor I may sell......Ford Logo's stamped in the butts and Ham Standard overhaul decals still on them. Can't remember the blade number, will have to dig them out and look.

Back in 1981 I went with Earl Reinert and a couple friends to Anoka for some horsetrading (small stuff - Norden bombsight, AT-10 tailwheel, etc.) and to check out a set of TBM wings Earl had stored there, still in Navy blue with rocket launcher mounts (where are they now?). I remember a fellow named Ingemar had a "Tora" replica Kate there - is he still around?
