This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Hi folks,
I have lost track... has the latest edition of Warbird Index been published yet? I visited the site and it keeps saying "soon" but I thought that someone said that it had been released and had gotten a copy.
Paul Coggan, are you on this board with us still?

Hi Ryan
The Warbird Index currently exists as a database only in electronic format and is not commercially available. When it is released I want it to be the best available; full of accurate data.
I currently have a publisher interested in producing the full printed version - I input data daily into the master database and I am now, with the publisher, looking at how we can export the data to the printed page. Forget .pdf's as they are not searchable enough. As I've spent the last six years working on this a couple more won't hurt and will reflect in the finished product. The electronic version will be published as a stand alone database.
The next step is to get the website up to speed and updated and I am in negotiation with the publishers now. A few people have asked if the project is dead and nothing could be further from the truth! My email address is public domain so ask questions anytime - though leave it a couple of weeks please as I am just off on a break!
regards to all
