Stu is flying the Mustang, Mac is flying the 17 and we(B-24) are stuck in Birmingham waiting for the weather. We had a prop governor go Tango Uniform and missed our window to make it to Columbus. Thanks to Ida . We are planning on leaving as soon as it goes VFR in Columbus tomorrow.

Cool Jim, hop-e the weather breaks, and get to meet ya"ll at Columbus Metro

I met Jim(Newly Minted B-24 Pilot) at the Columbus Metro Airport in Columbus Georgia on Veterans Day. What can you say about a person that ya just met. I found Jim to be a straight up guy, great to talk with, and Professional. The CF Heavies looked great. I hadn't put my hands on, or climbed into 909 in 24 years, and the -24  she was my first I ever entered :D way cool aeroplane she is. I can't imagine what she's like to fly.
Regrets: the weather sucked. it rained on the 9th,& 10th part of the 11th, and began to clear but a low ceiling remained. The P-51 was in a hangar somewhere on the field, and due to the impatience of a fiend of mine, I missed the engine start on the B-17
12 November, the wind is up a little, the ceiling is scattered, and I gotta work.
Good to meet you Jim, many safe hours in the -24 and anything else ya fly. Maybe...I'll see ya next year, just lemme know when you're gonna be in, I know a great place to eat. :D
Addition: Wouldn't ya know it, I posted this and went outside....Its Clear Blue and 22 Drat!! Man is it a pretty day to fly!!!!!

Both will take all your money and time.
Both will take all your love, and sometimes make you fly high, while frustrating you at others.
Both will put you in the ground eventually, if you're not careful.
