Need Help!! Tracking down family photos

Wed Nov 11, 2009 8:28 pm

Hey all,

Some of you might recall just about a year ago I was fortunate enough to stumble onto an obscure expired Ebay sale. The Seller was selling photos taken by my wife's Great Grandfather Col. Donald T. Winder USMC (Ret.) during his time in the Pacific theater of WWII. Anyways I contacted the Seller and they turned out to be good people and were kind enough to give us the remaining pictures they had left.

Well believe it not it looks like it might be happening again. The Col. appearantly during the war was quite the shutter bug. And it is my belief that there are still quite a few pictures missing from his collection as well as possibly War Diaries (some of the pictures have captions on the back that simply say "See Notes" or "See page#")

Ok what I'm hoping people here can help me with is, while I was googling I came across another expired ebay sale for the Col.'s photos. When I click on the link it takes my to ebay saying the sale has expired with no other information.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rlz=1R2ADFA_enUS342&q=ebay+donald+winder+usmc+ebaden&aq=f&oq=&aqi=

Does anyone know of a way to retireve the page? Or any possible way to identify the Seller? I just want to contact the seller and ask them questions about how they came across the photos and if they have copies. I have contacted Ebay but have not heard a response yet.

Thanks for any and all help.

Shay
