Is there any other way to post pictures other than using Photobucket?
Can I post a picture (1) directly from a file on my computer?
If not I'll have to go back to square one on Photobucket and try again.

I was wondering the same thing! I FINALLY got high speed internet available out where I live, so I'd love to share some of the scanned slides I have from the mid to late '70's.

No you can't just post direct from your computer.
As far as I'm aware, Photobucket (and equivalents) are about the easiest free self-help option.
Otherwise you either pay, get someone or a biz to do it for you.
FWIW, Photobucket isn't too hard, IMHO, and is used by several of the heavier picture posters here.

I haven't used anything but Photobucket.
After 2 years I used up 10 MB of Bandwidth although only used 1/2 of available storage. This is after a lot of heavy posting at times.
Upgraded to Photobucket Pro after Bandwidth became an issue. Only approx $25 a year so that seems reasonable.
It does take a couple steps to add pics to a post on WIX but it comes as part of the process of posting.

I've been using Photobucket for several years. It's very easy to use..my only complaint is that the site has become so slow over the past year or two. I think it's because they've bogged it down with "features" and ads. Of course, it might also have to do with the fact that I've got so many pictures there. I need to do a "housecleaning" and delete a bunch of stuff.

Long time ago I have post info about the modification where the images could be post direct from PC (or Mac). This feature does not require extra space from host, it is remote linked to the image free hosting site. Code is add to the regular forum script and this help in upload of images.
Cheers
