Tom Friedman-Merry Christmas

Fri Dec 25, 2009 7:10 pm

I am still working on the gameroom, and still woking on the Shooting star windscreen, but here is a pic for you.
We are having custom shelving built to house my collection of 200 model aircraft, and one wall will be all photos, while another will have a flatscreen TV on it. But here it is as of now.

And the last is the Christmas tree in the Control Tower. Yes that is an out house as a star. Long story

Surely that should be spelled "Fairey' on this msg board?

...Which just gave me the idea of putting a Gannet on top of the tree next year : 8)

chris, happy holidays!! :drinkers: looks as if you've done some re-shaping to the p- 80 windscreen..... looking good!! cripes it only took 3 years of nagging to see a pic of my old friend!! your house / man cave is going to be 1st class. you must have 1 supportive wife / girlfriend. my stuff is in my basement office, no way it will ever be displayed upstairs, my wife is firm on that. please post pics when you get the plexi and rear view mirror on it. it should polish up nice too!! a prosperous, healthy & happy new year to you!!

Thanks Tom!! Yeah it is cleaning up really nicely. My old gameroom was in the finished basement of my old house. When I started talking about it in this house my fiance said, no way is all of that cool and historic stuff going in the basement. We have 2 huge living rooms, take the one on the second floor and make it your mancave. So I am. But she is all about it which is fun. The P-80 windscreen has cleaned up really nice on the inside, and I have reshaped some of the corners. I some polish that I am going to try in the spring to bring it back to BMF.

While Sir Richard did look like he had a stick stick up him, I don't think he was ever very cheerful and twinkly at Christmas - or any other time. A hard man, I suspect. ;)

THe P-38, P-51, F-86 are prebuilt 1/18th scale that I am going to hang. I do mainly 1/48th and 1/72nd. I will put up some pics.
