How about some QF-102s and some PQM-102s:

I appologise ahead of time, some of these shots are pretty "rough"!

The file name includes the serial, location and approximate date: i.e. .../F-102A56-1061HollomanAFBSep78.jpg translates to F-102A 56-1061 photographed at Holloman AFB in September, 1978.

AWESOME!!!

Thanks for posting these Cliff, don't worry about the quality they look good to me! Can't get enough Deuce drones.

I don't suppose you have any more 102 drone photos? I'm specifically looking for pictures of 57-0781, another former CA ANG bird. On page 138 of Wayne Mutza's excellent F-102 book, there's a photo of this bird flying over the Holloman range. It has a large pumpkin painted on the right side fuselage and I've always wondered if a pumpkin was also painted on the left side of the bird as I've toyed with building a model of this drone...

Thanks again!!

Derek,

Here is a shot of 781 on the ramp at Holloman in Sep, 78. It sure looks like it has whats left of a pumpkin on the left side as well, though it is very worn. Heck, the whole airplane is ratty looking. Perhabs the pumpkin (or "punken" as a friend says) was from the CA_ANG days.

And others...

A few at MASDC being prepped for the drone program.

Thanks for the extra photos Cliff, especially that of 781. So cool that you have a port side shot of her. So that punken' was on both sides... Getting the weathering right on a model of 781 would be a real challenge as she is ratty!

I wonder why those CA ANG birds are so weathered as I though that the 194th FIS of the CA ANG was one of the last users of the 102?

Appreciate it my friend. Keep the drone photos coming if you happen to have anymore! :D

Sorry , TX-ANG did not assign aircraft to individuals and even a name was uncommon at the time.
