Agreed, it's two separate airframes. F-84 up against the fuselage of an F-104 without the cockpit section.

wow!!! the corrosion is horrible!! i've seen ww 2 pacific wrecks that look worse!!

Fire is corrosion (oxidation) in high gear! Bad looking indeed. :(
