MESA, AZ (KOLD) - A pilot of a World War II era training plane had to make an emergency landing and ended up crashing into a restroom building.
The pilot and passenger walked away safely from the crash site.
The restroom was closed and no one was inside.
Officials say the Chinese-built Nanchang CJ-6A developed engine problems.
They say the pilot safely landed the aircraft at the Red Mountain Multigenerational Center, but had to swerve while taxiing to avoid a man and his dog.
The single-engine plane hit a cinder block restroom building and damaged parts of its wall and roof.
The plane suffered major damage
