Skyraider scale drawings?

Sun Feb 28, 2010 4:34 pm

Does anyone know where I might be able to get some? Or have any?

After seeing Flight of the Intruder again, I fancy the idea of building a PSS "Sandy" for lobbing off the hills of Viet-Scotland....

I found this article while having a Google. Nice-looking model, but I was hoping to build something a bit more practical and less fibreglass!

While I'm on the subject, does anyone know the ID of the two aircraft seen in the film?

Daren, here's two drawings from a Russian site. Not to worry, these links go straight to the drawings. However, the first one is 370 KB, the second 3.9 MB.

cheers

Jay Cullum flew his AD-4NA N409Z and Steve Hinton flew Dave Price's Skyraider in Flight of the Intruder. Jay sold his to Tom Friedkin in the mid or late 1990s and I'm afraid I don't know where Dave's plane is now. Hope that helps someone give you the IDs of the planes today. There was an article about the making of the film in the August 1990 Air Classics that may have some more info.

Thanks for the info, Randy.

If I manage to get around to building this thing (still looking to see if I can scale some drawings up) then I want to model a "Sandy" aircraft - possibly with underwing ordnance!
