Alright, so I've been finalizing some designs for T-shirts for the Corsairs show in May. If everything works out, then hopefully some of these designs will be available for purchase.
My goal would be to offer a kids sized shirt (S-L) and Adult (S-3XL) but again this is all up in the air still.
"CT Corsair" shirt.

I like the 2 color whistling death design. As for the first one, I feel your original version with the cyan was stronger than the new version. This one lacks any excitement for me. The baseball jersey is interesting. Not something I would buy, but interesting.

Dude...the baseball jerseys ROCK....you do that one and you got yourself a sale....I'll take mine as the Guyton model since I know Peter and make it an XXL even tho I'm on a diet....great stuff.

I like the Corsair graphic. Nice and clean with a period look.
The first design is my favorite. I don't care for the Whistling Death, too propagandistic for my taste.
For the baseball jerseys, although the concept doesn't do a lot for me, why not make it "Connecticut Corsairs" as if it were a state team? Also would avoid potential trademark issues with Vought, which still exists.
I recall that the Corsair was named the official plane of Connecticut at the last gathering. Has a shirt ever been done to commemorate that?
(Off-topic, is CT the only state with an official state aircraft?)

(Edit: I just learned that New Mexico also has one: the generic hot air balloon. Yawn!)

New Mexico beat us by about a year in designating the balloon as their state aircraft.
Of course, that's kind of generic, but it's still an "aircraft".

I don't know if Texas has designated an aircraft or not. BUT the CAF is the official AIR FORCE of the State of Texas

I think that would be cool I love the shirt designs. i would get one when they are ready. Also love the idea from August. You can even make them so that each member of the restoration team can buy one with their own name on the back.
Also wish every state would get a state aircraft. PA could have the J-3 Cub, Washington could have the B-17 or 747, Florida the F-14 or the shuttle, Virginia the SR-71(already have a license plate there), California the X-1 or some sort of X plane, Ohio the FG-1D or Gee bee to honor the races, Nevada the Thunderbirds F-16, and so on.

Yes, more states should have an official aircraft. New York has an official beverage, fossil, and muffin, but no aircraft.
But for many states it would be too hard to pick one. New York was the home of Curtiss, Grumman, and Republic. How would you choose between the Jenny, Hellcat, and A-10? California and Kansas would have similar problems. WA would be hard pressed just to decide which Boeing. Others would be easier. It would be nutty for PA to pick anything but the Cub.

That would be tough for Georgia too:
Bell built the Boeing B-29 here.
Lockheed built the C-130, C-5 & C-141 then the F-22
Gulfstream built the G-2 through ....
Maule is currently building the Maule.....
