PoF AT-12 Guardsman

Does anyone know an ID of the AT-12 Guardsman at the Planes of Fame? Is there a story behind this aiframe? Where did it come from?

Republic AT-12 (US designation) 2PA Guardsman (Republic designation) intended for Sweden but impounded by USAAF.
