New Build FW 190 in Denver area?

Thu Aug 26, 2010 12:05 pm

Saw a pic of an FW 190 being built up at the Boulder airport on Gordon Page's facebook page....anyone know more about this machine? Flugwerk bird or no? Who the owner might possibly be? Any info would be welcome....

This may be the plane I saw being unloaded from a trailer and hangared at Boulder about 2 years ago.
I don't think it is Flugwerk, I think it may be a homebuilt. It has a fuselage on its gear, a separate radial engine, and I think it had wings. The cockpit was mostly bare and unfinished. It was fairly large, but I am not sure it was full scale. I haven't heard of or seen any work done it since, but it could have been done inside a closed hangar, though that is unlikely in good weather.
I don't know who owns it, don't have photos.

Possible Jurca 1:1 scale? Frank Schumpert was building one, but not sure where he is based....

It is a full size, original design, replica of mixed construction. Build by John Eberel (spelling?) of N/W Pennsylvania. Now owned by a friend of mine, Tom Edwards.

I think there was some WIX traffic when it was posted on eBay some years ago?
