This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

No, it's because someone injected politics into the thread. We all know how well politics works within threads posted on WIX. In case you didn't, you don't!

Well said, there is no room here for it. This is a "Warbird" information exchange board..only..

The owner and mods have the right to lock threads if they "go wild". It's a good thing to do because threads like that can drive people away from the forum. This place hardly gets any locked threads so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I agree, but there has to be a balance. Too much free speech and we will lose many posters because of the vitriol of political threads. This has already happened in the past during the "Wild West Days" of WIX in the past. It didn't do much good, except drive off posters. Not enough free speech and it impedes information flow and upsets people such as your self. I think the Mods did the right thing in this case. The door was cracked a little bit and it was about to burst wide open - especially given the history of some of the people involved in that thread. I applaud the Mods for killing that thread. We can still discuss the incident. Someone else start a new thread. It's no bid deal, really.
Thank you Mods, that one was going downhill very fast!

Please feel free to restart a thread that does not go where that one did. I think it is very important for everyone to read or hear about the event and discuss it in a manor that will not make this board look like a bunch of Right or Left Nut Jobs. I will not edit Bill's or others post so that that can reopened, i feel that is far more censorship than just saying that rabbit trail has to end.
