Heres a topic that is 13 pages long on the ICAS forum,
There are several people that post A/C that they have seen in the area over the past few days. It may be too much for the busy Warbird areas, but for us in the Warbird deprived Northeast it may be a good thread to get going.

Hanscom Field (KBED) Bedford, Ma
I guess I missed it....
4 of our line guys have come up to me in the past two days to ask me if I knew the guy in the P-51 that was on our ramp on Sunday. Bald Eagle was sitting on the ramp in Bedford for a little while on Sunday evening.
I also saw the pics from Millville of the Heritage flight with the same A/C.
Last time we had a Mustang show up on our ramp it was Bob B. picking up the wife. What a great commuter.

The other day I was outside and looked up, and much to my surprise, I saw a B-25 flying over. We don't have any close by. I think it was on its way to Cleveland for the opening of a restraunt.

I was under a Beechjet on the ramp at Logan today!
I got some fuel on my rain soaked gloves!
This wasnt the idea of Aircraft Spotting that I was thinking of!

Well, not directly related to aircraft spotting: I went today, looking for two airfields / airports that still show up on maps, but do not exist anymore.
Heart in Kansas City, south of I-70 / U.S.40 area and Independence, MO. There is nothing left to be seen -at least from the ground - from either; I drove many streets looking for old hangars, remains, anything, but no luck.
What used to be Richards Gebaur AFB in South KC, is crammed with brand new cars, and also with machinery for auctions.
The five or six Huge hangars (QRA) still stand on the norht end of the runway; seemingly abandoned.
Pity it is so expensive to disassemble and move one of those things, because it would be the perfect place to live! Strong, thick metal, lots of
space . . .

Last Thursday I was in line to see "Sith" here in Ridgecrest when I heard a round engine go thundering over. Looked up and I think it was a T-28.....it circled out over part of the base and then back twards Inyokern.

We had a party last night here at Epps Aviation in Atlanta (PDK) to celebrate 40 years of being in business. On hand were B-17 Liberty Belle, & P-51 Cloud Dancer. It was a very nice evening!

Hi all--
Neat thread. Was at a cruise night on Wednesday (Mapleview Mall parking lot, Burlington Ontario--I'm a car buff too); glanced up to the northeast and saw quite the most improbable airplane slowly heading towards Toronto. A Vickers Vimy biplane bomber. Geez! Of course it was the well known replica built a few years back for recreating famous distance flights made by Vimys in the 1919 period; I think the reg'n is N71MY. The Vimy was heading for Downsview airport, Toronto, where she's spending a few days in the care of the Toronto Aerospace Museum before setting off on a transatlantic run!
Last week was on my roof doing some spring cleaning when two CH-146 Griffon helos (probably from Borden) went over. And the week before that I saw plenty of interesting old aircraft on my Ottawa trip, but that doesn't really count in this context...

I missed all the fun again today,
That bare metal Sea Fury that was at the WWII weekend showed up on our ramp this afternoon.
Our fine group of line personnel who do not understand the fact that you cannot see out of the front of a round engine tail dragger helped him out in the worst way possible. In the process of making his arrival as confusing as possible our lineman turned him right into a taxi light which the propeller was nice enough to destroy. A small nick in the blade and a whole bunch of blasting our line rookies later and he was back into the airplane to leave.
I came down the hill into the parking lot while the airplane was in the grass in front of our ramp, and was really suprised to see it there dwarfing all the bonanza/archer/cirrus singles it was parked with.
I walked up front looked around and saw the owner taking care of his bill and I had to say hello. I told him I saw him bust out of the clouds going into Reading a few weeks ago and he laughed. He was ok considering the incident and told me about the horrible line guys one more time.
He fired up the engine and taxied out for takeoff and I was being paged cuz I was in trouble once again. (Big Suprise)
BTW, I was sitting in the lobby at Signature Boston waiting for the Hawker that I was sent in there for's Maintenance Coordinator to make a decision on what I was supposed to do with a fuel indication problem. While waiting, I met Jason Varitek, Bill Mueller and Doug Mirabelli. They were waiting for the stragglers to show up and about ten minutes later in came Manny Ramirez and Kevin Millar. That was cool too!

Okay, plane (I know - plain) and simple, move west!!
I've been to an air show, fly-in or aircraft function every weekend now since the end of April. Everyone of them had warbirds. Of course all these events have put me behind on displaying pictures, as I'm still writing articles for my last two shows.
April 23rd Warbird Gathering - Petaluma (a wash)
April 24th Pacific Coast Dream Machines - Half Moon Bay (six P-51's - lots o warbirds)
May 7, Fuddy Duddy and little friends - Watsonville
May 14, All Red Star - Merced (55 warbirds)
May 20-21, TRARON - Merced (58 warbirds)
May 29, Watsonville Air Show (lots o warbirds)
June 3, Merced Air Show (small types of warbirds)

Driving down State Highway 62 near Morongo Valley yesterday I saw what looked like a CDF-marked S2F turning and making a low pass over the remains of the Paradise fire... a couple weeks ago we had another fire near Joshua Tree and a formation of three T-34s flew over heading southeast, then flew back northwest a while later.

I'm located in Orlando... on Friday I saw in the distance a biplane of some sort flying around. It was too far away to identify though. It had a beefy sounding engine and it looked bigger than a stearman. Let me know if anyone has any idea who and what it was.

I grew up at Independence Airport, which was a hotbed for homebuilt airplanes in the 60s-80s. Cassutts and Pitts were very popular, and Mrs. A's restaurant on the field guaranteed a good flow of visitor traffic. Independence is also where I took my first flying lesson (1977), so it was very sad when the airport closed. After Mrs. A died the property changed hands a few times, but unfortunately a developer ended up owning the airport, so you can guess what happened next. You can find the old Independence Airport gang now at the East Kansas City Airport (3GV). There's usually a lunch cookout every Saturday that the weather is nice (and when there isn't a fun flyout at another local airport).
Richards Gebaur was a perfect warbird airport, but unfortunately the voters of Kansas City killed that one. What is an intermodel hub anyway?
