Looking for a source for good, accurate reproduction WW2 Navy flight suits, patches, etc. My size (6'-3" and 235#) makes most original gear way too small.
Thanks,
Walt

Walt,
The WWII flight suits from "What Price Glory" should fit you with no problem. They are sized big. I normally wear a size 42 regular and therefore ordered a size 42 regular. They were about seven inches too long and much too large in the chest and waist areas. I went out to their place in Salinas, CA to get an exact fit and ended up exchanging them for a size 38.

You must remember it has to be a big size because you wear a uniform under the flight suit or a heat suit.

Walt, I know you're wanting accurate, but just as an FYI to anyone else,
Gibson Barnes's "Khaki" color for their FSL-27/P (their version of the military CWU-27/P) is pretty similar to the WWII Tan flightsuit color. I have one in that color and have received several comments from warbird pilots that they like the look it has since it is a modern Nomex-based material but can be configured to look similar to the old flightsuit although your pockets will have zippers instead of flaps. If you're looking for something functional, I suggest it as an alternative since it'll give you some fire protection while still looking close enough to the originals to fool most casual observers (it even comes in short sleeve!).

I got one of WPG's flight suits and it fits me fine. I'm 6'6" and 240. Should fit a runt like you.

I have several of the USAF nomex flight suits from my CAP days if I need fire protection, but this suit will need to be more in the authentic vein, since I'll be wearing it on the USS Yorktown. No fire danger there.
Thanks for the input.

Are you still looking for a flight suit? I have a tan K-1 for someone your size. Brand new and was made for a movie set (no clue which movie). Interested?
