Yep, I've seen photos of it before..but not as many detailed shots. Looks
like time and the neighbors have not been kind to the old girl!

In some languages other than English, radial engines are described as being shaped like a star. Imagine the typical star seen on top of a Christmas tree, you'll get the idea.

Might be cheaper to have the local talent do the restoration for you. Plenty of specialists, and an excellent "Dollar to Hryvnia" exchange rate I believe. ;)

I wonder how hard it would be to find replacement components for that monster. Beautiful plane otherwise!

Props sure look like 100% Ham Standard! I wonder if they are 50 or 60 spline?

kurbelgehause, Thanks! Where do they "typically" practice the custom of
placing stars atop Christmas trees? We've always topped ours with a
corncob!
