Congrats to the F4U Corsair on officially turning 65 years old today (now old enough to qualify for AARP benefits....that's the American Association of Retired Planes) and has officially become the State Plane of the State of Connecticut with a proclomation by the State's governor, the plane will be honored every year at this time on the anniversary of its first flight back on May 29, 1940...

T minus 3 days till departure to the next great Corsair gathering....hope to see you all there!

Look for the airplanes!

O.K.
I have not been there in a while but I think the airport is right off of 95.
like a mile or so up and around to the Northeast from the exit.
I remember stopping in there about 15-18 years ago and seeing the Corsair on the pole looking pretty bad, and then stopping in there a few years later and it was surrounded with scaffolding and being stripped for a repaint.
