Well, one can't really blame Neil for being upset about it. Being exploited is never fun...especially when trust is broken. He is a private man and wants to go about living his life without always having someone want to use his fame for their own fortune. He's had to put up with similar behavior for 35+ years now, just because he was the first guy to take a footstep on the moon. And all this time, Neil insists that it was really both he and Buzz that landed on the moon simultaneously. The person who made the first footstep wasn't relevant in his mind.
These astronauts have to put up with a lot of crap. A couple years back, a lunatic (who insists that the moon landings were faked) set up a meeting with Buzz Aldrin under false prenteses. He confronted Buzz, telling him to put his hand on the Bible and swear to God that the moon landings were real. When Buzz told him to get lost, the guy got in Buzz's face, calling him "a coward, a liar, and a thief..." He didn't get any more words out, as Buzz landed a left hook on him. (good for Buzz, I say) The punch was caught on video and can be seen here:
