This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I just got back from the Arab part of the world and have the next four days off. What should I do?
Go to Tunica, Mississippi for the "air race"?
Go to Connecticut for the Corsair Gathering?
Go to Kansas and pick up the rest of my airplanes so I can finally get my Rawdon put together?

Goto Connecticut and hang with the west of us WIXers!

I recommend "C." That plane won't fix itself. Once it is flying you can go to the airshow in style!

Brad,
From the picture you have under your name, it looks like you belong in CT this weekend.

Come to Kansas...you can get some more Rawdon parts ("Why on earth would anyone want one of THOSE things" said my mechanic) and help with doing the inspection on the T-6. We might even run up to MN to check on a certain Skyraider.

I actually wanted a Wildcat, but that's a little hard to do on an Enlisted mans pay! Originally I only wanted one Rawdon. Somehow, I've ended up with three! At least your mechanic knows what one is. Most people have no idea.

Brad:
There will be more air-races in the future.
You will not finish your airplane in the next 4 days.
The Corsairs will probably meet again in the future, but a chance
like this one, is better taken up whenever you can.
Shoot lots of pictures, okay?
Saludos,
Tulio

Coool...not 1 Rawdon, but 3! Brad, are they all T-1 or the "duster"
too? In your time off, could you post some photos of your project(s)?
Welcome home!

Well I got about 200-250 miles from home, heading for Kansas when the cell phone rang. I should know better than to answer it. But I did, and I had to turn around and put out fires at work. So....no Rawdon pickup this weekend. Still no definate plans about the Corsair gathering.
