Mexia, Texas

Mexia (Mah-hi-ah) is one of those places that exist, and that's about it. Agricultural mostly, cattle and oil somewhere nearby.

The airport has a company named "Trim-Aire Aviation" and on Tuesday, I stopped by to ask for parts for my PT-19. No joy.

In any case, they had a pristine T-34 but with very much Beech A-36-like wingtip tanks. Also there, a Beech Queen Air, still in U.S. Army colors (brown and white), interior stripped bare, some work was being carried on the right wing.

Also saw the pylon-mounted F-86 that is on US-75, North of Dallas.

Saludos,

Tulio
