This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future
I stopped by Mercer Field in Georgia (about 50 miles south of Chattanooga) today; I hadn't been since before the T-29 started getting chopped up. The results aren't pretty. The F-84 still sits there but the T-33 is gone. The T-29 is wide open
I really enjoy the odd types. So seeing this is sickening. I know its not in the "popular warbird" catigory and most average joe see this and say who cares. But there are too few of these planes around.
Thanks for the photos of the sad Convair Dave. Tough to see her in that state. Would be nice of someone could save something from her (cockpit parts, control wheel, instrument panels, data plate, etc.).
Anyone know who to contact about buying parts off of her?!
