Mon Nov 22, 2010 11:13 pm

The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association (CHAA) would like to invite all Harvard, T-6, SNJ, or Wirraway pilots and owners to attend a weekend of formation training and practice. The venue will be CHAA's base in Tillsonburg, Ontario (CNQ4) and the event will take place on the weekend of 28-29 May 2011.

Harvard owners or pilots who are interested in improving their formation flying or who would like an introduction to the exciting and callenging world of formation flying are encouraged to attend. The camp is also open to those who would like to renew or pursue a FAST Qualification.

Hey Edward,

you guys at the CHAA are doing a great job keeping those birds flying, and sharing in the fun. I'm quite jealous of you and what you've been able to do with them.

I intend to eventually get checked out on the CMF's airplanes, and eventually hopefully the Harvard. But, what a thrill it would be to practice formation with a large group of other Harvards.

I wish I could join you guys.

Good luck with the event.

Peace,

David M

David,

I'm sure that if you remain committed to the goal, you'll make your way into the CMF aircraft one of these days.

On the topic of getting checked out in the Harvard, CHAA actually runs an annual ground school. It's designed for people who'd like to get checked out in one of the Association's aircraft, but the course is open to anyone who would like to come and learn more about this classic advanced trainer.

The 2011 ground school will be offered over two consecutive weekends in March:

12-13 March 2011
19-20 March 2011

For more details or to register, please contact Edward Soye (edward@harvards.com).

***P.S. - The formation training weekend mentioned above is actually scheduled for 2011. Thank you to AIRIC for catching my typo (and for the use of his first rate photographs of the Harvard formation team from this past season) - my original post indicated that it was taking place in 2010.***
