Toronto Constellation

Mon Jun 06, 2005 6:00 am

I took a drive down Derry Road in Toronto on Saturday. I hadn't viewed the Lockheed Super Constellation since it was parked in front of the Regal Constellation Hotel.

Who currently owns the Toronto Connie?

Mike

Mike,

This the only information that I could find about the Connie so it might be outdated:

Andrew

1996: Millardair c/o Mr. Philip Yull - Lockheed Constellation Restoration project - Toronto, Canada.

I well remember staying in the Holiday Inn a few hundred metres away from the Regal Constellation Hotel, where the Connie used to be parked, in about 1997. We used to walk down to the Connie and have a few beers in the evenings, as the interior had been converted into a bar. :)

I know this doesn't add much information, but if you go to this site and scroll down to July 2004, you'll see that the Connie was put up for sale last year. I never heard if they found a buyer or not.

In other Connie-related news, Columbine II is up for sale. See the top of the same page for details. And for those interested, the page also details the last trip of the MATS Connie to it's new home.
