Warbirds of the Midwest – MOTF Holiday snaps Part 1

Tue Jun 07, 2005 4:28 pm

Whilst on a recent visit to Kansas City I was lucky enough to see a number of very nicely restored USAAC Second Word War Training aircraft

Firstly, over at East Kansas there is an immaculate PT-22 Owned by Bob Williams.

Then, over at New Century Air Centre (the former Olathe Naval Air Station) across town is the Hear of America wing of the CAF

First a couple of BT-13’s

And a couple of PT-19’s. Its just a shame the first shot is ruined by the Sea Fury in the background (I wonder who parked it there :D)

All in all, a nice pleasant start before I moved onto the heavy metal. (More to follow)
