Saw a report on fencecheck.com regarding the Pink Lady and that it was being flown in at least one French airshow. I agree with the reviewer - gotta admire the in your face attitude!

I hear the Sally-B is also going to be up and flying again.
A big stink on the flypast board about then not being part of the 60th Anv.

There is no in your face attitude from the fench B-17 crew. Their plane is fully insured and camplaint in this rspect to the new european rule. It just happen that The Pink Lady is insured within a fleet of 50+ plane ; that allowed for a big margin of negociation, and only costed them a minimal (as opposed to Sally B's) increase for its insurance fee.

Ah - cool, glad it worked that way for them!
Yet another nudge in the insurance business - maybe someone out there could look into the legal ways and means of the definition of "fleet" Then warbird operators could all join this "fleet" and everyone benefits from the lower insurance costs!
True, you might have to submit to an annual somewhere other than your current locale but if it saves you enough to justify it - why not??!!
