I will go with Pat’s comment. I was just one of about twenty people there and it was great to see and feel the power of these engines up close in the dark.

Great Shots Eric! Those are the best I've seen of Craig's engine during the night run!

Great to see you and Bernadette again. I wish we had more time to sit down and talk warbirds!
WX wasn't exactly on our side, but I have to say, it's 6:47 AM on Monday right now and it's raining out so I think we dodged a bullett and got 95% of the flying in on Saturday and Sunday!
Thanks for coming!
Jerry

Since when is it going to be restored to flightworthy? I thought it was going to stay as a static, albeit off the pole?

Wish I could have been there for the night runs! Great stuff. Jerry, next time we run up a bomber, were going to have to have 3 or 4 guys dressed in crew mechanics overalls. I could supply the bodies to fill the outfits. Went home every-night exhausted but pleased. Like already said the weather wasn't the best, but the show still happened and everybody still got to see aircraft fly! B-25, Beech 18, C-54, Super Stearman, Corsair, P-40, UH-1 Huey, L-39, H-34, UH-60, T-28, Howard DGA-15, Direct TV Blimp, Pitts Special?, and so much more! Oh yeah, the cars were cool too. And I guess the boats too. I already can't wait for next year!

Eric is was a pleasure as always to spend a little time with you and Bernadette. Also Richard Allnut, Mach 1 Productions, Dan Dameo, Jim Vocell, Craig McBurney, Jerry O'Neill (Of Course), Frank Andruss (aka whistlingdeathcorsairs), Larry Kelly and the Panchito Crew, The Berlin Airlift Crew, Len Roberto and the rest of the Airdales Crew, The UH-34 Crew, Phil65, Drew King, all my fellow CASC members, my family, KBDR Airport, Tim Brady and 3 Wing, my Film Crew all weekend, to everyone else, and of course the gf that humored my obsession throughout the weekend, it was a blast!

Fouga:
The Igor I. Sikorsky Memorial Airport Corsair Restoration and Connecticut Corsair are two individual groups that are both restoring a Corsair in the Nutmeg state. The one big difference is that Craig McBurney is restoring his -4 to fly while were doing a through static restoration for display. And yes she will remain off the pole.

In the meantime I thought everyone would get a kick out of some of the footage we shot of the 5 Corsairs from last year:

We hope to do a recap of this year's show and have it out much quicker!

The Stratford FG-1D that is under restoration in Stratford and Texas will remain on the ground when completed.
The engine seen in Eric's fabulous photos are of Connecticut Corsair's (a non-profit organization)
P & W R-4360 engine on their mobile test stand. Craig McBirney, the founder of Connecticut Corsair, has an F4U-4 Corsair that is being restored to flying condition, They acquired this R-4360 and decided to make it run. The plan is to eventually mount the R-2600 for their Corsair project on this test stand to test the engine. Long time before that happens, so Craig and his magnificent crew take the engine stand around to various events to help with marketing of their project.
