I haven't been out to Vintage Wings in a long time, but I hope to be getting there on a more regular basis. If you would like to visit and want to know how to find the place go to...

I made two trips there recently. Once back in April and once last weekend. The photos are below.

The Pegasus engine is in the house! They are saying the fish will fly this year. In fact they are planning to be at Oshkosh.

The Spitfire is a recent arrival. This one may only be a hulk, but does have some RCAF history tied to it. I assume they want to restore it, but I have no idea what the time line is.

Hi Mike!

Nice pics of the Swordfish and especially liked the restoration shots of the PT-26 up there. Looks
like they're doing a superb job there!

I'll miss you guys this year at thunder... (if you're going).. timing right before OSH is just too
much to do to get everything done and help with getting various planes there and other activities.

So.. thanks again for sharing the pics! My best to you folks!

Henning

Neat stuff! First Stringbag to Osh? (Remember Taranto!)

Would be cool to see it in formation with a Kate (replica) and an Avenger. I guess a Savoia Marchetti SM 79 is a little way off yet...

I am glad you guys enjoyed the pics. I never asked, but I would have thought the Swordfish visited Oshkosh when it was operated by the Spence family. Does anyone know if the Spence family took it on the road?

I did see the Swordfish a couple times at Selfridge ANGB when the Spence family owned it.Can't say for sure but I thought
it was at Thunder Over Michigan once.

They definitely brought it out to Hamilton and Geneseo for a couple of shows.

BTW, great to see the PT-26 get a proper restoration.

Please keep us posted on the Spitfire plans. You can never have too many of those restored, that's for sure!

Looks like a great museum with a lot of activity.
