WWII Pilot Flies Aagin with Daughters and Grandson on Board!

Mon May 30, 2011 10:52 am

Jim Fontana, a former Marauder pilot and good friend of mine, got to go up in "Yankee Lady" on Friday along with his two daughters and a grandson. They let Jim and his grandson have a turn at the wheel. Not a B-26 he said, but something he never thought he'd ever do!
Thanks for your service to your country Jim!
Jerry

Actually, here's what he said:

"I just want to let you know you provided me with the greatest
day of my 30 year retirement. I was thankful for the ride but
to let me fly the plane was something out of this world. Of
course it didn't handle like the Marauder but the feel was super.

My daugthers loved every second of being there and Jamie was
feeling super because he never expected them to let him fly the
plane. Thank you again.
Jim"
