The future of us-aircraft.com

Wed Jun 01, 2011 2:55 pm

Hi all,

As some here may know I run a forum on us-aircraft.com. Despite what some may see me here with a lax personality I am totally professional on the us-aircraft.com forum. :) I am happy to report we were ranked a 9 for civility and friendliness from the Proboards administration(it was a 1 to 10 score, 10 being the best). I have been lacking activity there for awhile for one reason. Tom Myer is redesigning a new website for me and Mike Gawell. A new homepage has been designed and it is looking great. Nothing new is up yet. The other pages are under design and I am trying to gather material and product reviews for the site. Us-aircraft.com is devoted to United States aviation history and modeling. I am planning this to be a number one stop for U.S. aviation related.

-Included is a Jet warbird Registry that will focus on currently flying U.S. jet warbirds. A Review section for modeling products and model kit reviews, book reviews, a Research review section, and an aviation Art Review section. We also have a video player highlighting aircraft videos when you enter the home page and the best aircraft walkarounds around. We also have a "Stories Section" that will highlight aircraft and personal stories. One story is about an hour flight in a AT-6. Another story is a biography of a USAF vet who flew on everything from KB-50's to C-124's......with photo's!

I am in the process of gathering some material to add to the new site. That way we have some things up before we launch it...nothing worse then visiting a site and seeing nothing of interest to read and look at! :) I was kinda hoping some here could help me out. Pleassseee.... :D

Number one: I would like photos of the currently flying A-3 Skywarriors. And some history about them. I would also be interested in the A-3's that were scrapped recently. Only if these were flown within the last 5 or 10 years. If anyone would like to share some photos with me. I will be sure the photos get credit! I really look forward to help with this.

Second: I am looking for photos of the last flight of a C-133 Cargomaster. I am planning to write an article for the "Stories Section" to highlight this aircrafts last flight and history. Again any info and photos will be credited.

Third: Looking for photos of the Collings Foundation F-100, F-4, and A-4. Photos will be credited.

Thats all for now. :o :D Quite a request but hoping some would be interested in helping me get a good site going again.

Thanks,
Nathan Milarta
