Whiteman Apache at Creve Coeur Today

An interesting visitor stopped by Creve Coeur Airport today. I don't think we have ever had one of these on the field before today. Actually, I had no idea until today that there even was a reserve Apache group at Whiteman AFB in Knob Noster, Missouri. The WACO pilots did not know what to make of this fling wing thing.

No one asked them to 'take it out of the box'? Darned impressive ain't it? I love the shirt from Gulf 1 that showed a head on APACHE and the line 'don't run , you don't want to die tired'

I didn't know they were stationed there until last year at the Wings Over Whiteman airshow.
