Surviving Warbird Types not covered in Warbird Directory #5

Fri Jun 17, 2011 10:45 am

Anyone have an online source for a list of surviving C-46 Commandos and the BT-13/15 Vibrators?
They are not covered in WD#5.
Thanks in advance...

Not necessarily quite up to date, eg. C-FTPO is now with Buffalo at Yellowknife.

You can try my Airframes Database...
ImageAerial Visuals - Airframe Search
...so far it is mostly based on civil registries (FAA, Transport Canada, Australia and New Zealand). It usually gets updated weekly but I am a little behind. It doesn't have the history of WD5, but as airframes change hands and are registered the changes will be tracked in the airframe dossiers in the database, so it kind of picks up where WD5 left off.

You can check out the C-46 listing here...

You can check out the BT-13/BT-15/SNV listing here...

I am writing code to add other data sources like the NTSB and additional civil registry sources. Eventually the database will grow.

Wasn't there a C-46 owned by the National Air and Space Museum, on loan to another museum? Do not see it on the listings.

If still NASM owned, are there any immediate plans to transfer to Udvar-Hazy?
