Clark Field 1942

I saw that one too. Would have to be Java. I'm a real junkie for Philippines/Java pic and clips.
There's another clip on the site(I'd have to spend some time looking for it in the 1942 section)that is an aerial view of a strafing attack on a British airfield in Malaya. You can see the Buffalos lined up on either side of the strip being shot up. No revetments.

Very interesting stuff there - besides the expected P-40s we see a B-18 with a burnt-out cockpit (I saw a still of this one in Air Classics many years ago), a B-10/B-12 and the remnant of an O-46! The decoy aircraft, B-17 and B-18, I've never seen before - looks like a lot of bamboo went into those.

The P-40B's were of the 20 PS. I am guessing the two relatively intact P-40B's were survivors of the first bombing and straffings of Clark Field. Perhaps used for spare parts to keep the remaining few surviving P-40B's operational.

I have no sympathy for the Japanese for what they did to the Philippines.
