There is an entire chapter devoted to the storm in the great book, Magnesium Overcast by Dennis Jenkins.
All but one aircraft were repaired...and another became the nuclear testbed, so didn't return to SAC service.

Yeah, that one seems to work too-
amazing what Mother Nature can do ain't it? A 737 fuselage and a couple 747 upper 41 sections (flight deck area) got caught in a big tornado about 10 days ago in OK. while riding the BNSF from Wichita to Renton. The '37 aft fuselage got virtually destroyed from the railroad flatcar it was bolted to whipping around (empty flatcars weigh in @ like 100,000# +) and the 41's were in a steel houselike enclosure on the railcar that got torn off and are so bad that Boeing is meeting with the insurance company to see about replacement costs.
