Ive never seen any of these films before and they are to me as a historian and enthusiast a good insight to what men and machines did in the war.

Thank you so much for posting this link - amazing footage. Watching one then links to many others as well. A friend of mine was a Skyraider pilot with the 602 ACS during the time of these films; can't wait for him to see some of these clips, I expect he will recognize some of the places and faces.

Wings Over Houston cancelled the Viet Nam reenactment two days ago. They needed the time for an additional booking.

No AD-1, no O2, no A-26, no UH-1s, no Spooky C-47 and no TA-4 or F100.

Yes it does.

What a bummer on the cancellation of the Vietnam segment, particularly with the F-100.

Presumably the Rich Kid's Private Jet Team made WoH an offer they couldn't refuse?

It used to be not too uncommon for 16mm movies to be shown at our local model club when I was young (way back when). On one occassion a Colonel from Holloman brought a movie of a firepower demonstartion that hed been filmed at Eglin. There was the usual strafing of trains and tanks and the shootdown of a couple of QF-80s, one with a Vulcan and the other by an AIM-9. After the ground targets were gunned and bombed the targets were also shown. Burned out tanks, shot up vehicles and trains. There was also an accident where an F-100 dropped a delayed action bomb, except the bomb went off on impact and the pilot of the Hun was forced to eject from damage to the aircaft. An F-105 was flying wing and was also caught in the blast but able to recover at Eglin. I have searched for that film, but have yet to find it. The closest I have come is this: http://www.criticalpast.com/video/65675 ... port_F-100 The original was 20 to 30 minutes.

Rich Kid's Private Jet Team

Not to hijack the thread but an unfair characterization at best. They had nothing to do with the decisions made on this end. They simply booked an airshow. They've worked hard to get to this level.

This is another site that has some neat stuff: http://www.archive.org/index.php Hopefully some of the videos there might be of use. I found a good number of nuke tests and some videos on the Nike Hercules.
